Try practising some of these common Wind Turbine Technician’s job interview questions by Pritish Kumar Halder:

1. What Are Public Relations Aspects Of Using Wind?

How to answer:  Although it may be phrased a little differently, the gist of this question is clear:
Do you like being around people? It helps a lot if you sincerely like interacting with them. While answering this question, make sure to mention that you like helping people too. This will drive home the point that you are a talented interpersonal skilled person. Therefore, would be a valuable part of the team As a Wind Turbine Service Technician.

Answer:  “Wonderful! National polls suggest that people like wind turbines. People are fascinated by them. Consider if a retail store such as Walmart puts a wind turbine up as they have north of Dallas. They have hundreds of people who drive by in their cars “just to see the turbine”. Or consider the message that a wind turbine at a hospital conveys to the public. “We are progressive. We believe in clean energy that does not cause health harmful pollution. We are serious about the environment and your health”. The city, town, university, or business that puts up a wind turbine, puts up a sign that sends a positive message to the community around it.”

2.   Why do you want to work for us?

How to answer:   In your interview, you should try to convince the hiring manager that you genuinely want to work for them. You can say that you admire the company’s mission or the products they design or that the projects interest you greatly. You can also point out something about their culture, work environment, or something else that attracted you to the company and role, such as a strong brand and career growth opportunities. Review the company website, read company blogs, and learn about the team you’ll be working with before the interview.

Answer:  “When I came across the job description, I was excited about this role because it incorporates so many of the skills I have. I am very familiar with your company and the challenging projects that you work on. I know that this job would allow me to use my expertise to help meet the company’s project goals.”

3.   Tell me about your previous role and your responsibilities, and give me an example of a project you led.

How to answer:  Employers are looking for potential leaders, and you need to prove to them that you can lead a team. The interviewer wants to know if you can be trusted with complex projects and responsibilities. Discuss past roles and projects that highlight your leadership skills, your ability to work on complex projects, and/or your ability to handle several responsibilities at once. This is a chance to showcase your strengths and knowledge.

Answer:   “In my last position, I led a small team of engineers who were responsible for establishing a smart grid for nearby rural areas. A traditional electric grid is a network of power plants, transmission lines, and transformers that sends electricity to every home or building. The smart grid that we created allowed for two-way digital communication and sensors along existing transmission lines, creating more efficient use of energy and a faster response time to power outages, making it easier to integrate distributed renewable energy sources.”
