1.     Explain how you would be an asset to this organization.

 

How to answer:  This question helps interviewers learn if they have a good understanding of their role. They want you to show them that you have the right skills for this kind of job. Discussing skills they’re looking for shows you’re a prepared and capable candidate.

 

Answer:  “I have the background and I have skills that feet to what you need. My education skills and expertise will have a huge impact and significant benefits to the company in all areas. I would like to contribute by enhancing productivity in the organization’s business.

I will formulate the need-based crop management research, develop the technologies and publish it in the name of the organization. I am a hard-working person. I believe that with my education and acquired skills I would improve your sales opportunities. I would provide a different approach.”

 

2.     Tell me what is soil science?

 

How to answer:   This is a great question that provides you the opportunity to put your best foot forward, to tell the interviewer why he or she should consider hiring you for the job. Make sure you’re well prepared for this question as you won’t likely get a second chance to shine.

 

Answer:   “Soil science is the study of soil as a natural resource on the surface of the Earth including soil formation, classification and mapping; physical, chemical, biological, and fertility properties of soils; and these properties about the use and management of soils.”

 

3. Why should we hire you?

 

How to answer:   Don’t give up on an interview if you’re not fully qualified for the job. Appeal to the interviewer’s desire to hire someone with drive. If you are not the finished article, then point out how keen you are to learn and be mentored. Accentuate the positive aspects of what you can do now and how quickly you will be able to progress with what you don’t know if hired.

 

Answer:   “I am passionate about the agricultural industry; in particular I am interested in agronomy. I have completed qualifications including an Advanced Diploma of Agriculture and a Diploma of agronomy. During the two years of undertaking study I learned about what was required to complete paddock inspections, identify pests and diseases, chemicals and management strategies to rectify pest problems, interpret soil test results, and what crop and pasture varieties are most suitable for different production systems.”

 

Not every question you will encounter when interviewing for an Agronomist position will be related to an Agricultural supportive job. But those are the common topics interviewer can ask for selecting a qualified candidate.
