Limnologists Interview: the Basics

Limnologists observe and report on freshwater inland ecosystems, such as streams, rivers, ponds, lakes, and marshlands. The job title limnologist is used less often than occupational titles—such as hydrologist or chemist—that match the worker’s area of specialization.  But for many limnologists, the work’s value is greater than a paycheck.

To become a limnologist you can begin with a bachelor’s degree in a biology program.  They can expect to take classes focusing on conservation biology, ecology, chemistry, physics, statistics, and mathematics.  In the Master’s of Science in Limnology degree program, they will study biometrics, and biology research methods.  They will explore their specific areas of interest through research and a thesis project.

The level of the interview will directly depend on the experience you have, followed by your qualification and work skills. However, if the candidate is an experienced person, the process can tricky and technical to test the applicant’s true abilities.
